About DESYS

Distributed Engineering Systems Software GmbH was founded in April 1996 with the goal to apply expertise gained from consulting large software projects to the development of a new generation of middleware products. Years of experience in the development and implementation of client/server systems have provided us at DESYS the necessary know-how for this demanding mission. In addition to the development of building-blocks for the distributed, object-oriented systems of tomorrow, DESYS also offers support for the development and realization of high-performance, robust, open applications. Our success in this area has already been proven in projects with Compaq, ABB, Cegelec and Digital Equipment.

Mission
In recent years, the complexity of software systems has increased greatly.The complexity has reached a level at which it is becoming more and more difficult for those involved in the development process to maintain an overview of the entire system. Frequent problems associated with the increased complexity involve:

	-Maintainability				-Productivity				-Quality
	In order to be able to keep a system up-to-date after its completion, its sub-systems must be manageable and especially well-documented. Creating versions of the system components allows several developers to work together more easily.				By reusing existing code, the productivity of software developers can be increased and, with time, progressively improved.				By reusing tested system components, improvements in quality and productivity can be achieved. Additional improvements in quality can be attained by applying standardized system components, which, due to the large number of people exposed to these components, may be tested more efficiently for error.
